Ross Ochs qualified out of the 3200m at the FW Wayne Regional with a third-place finish in 9:30.07. This was #3 all-time for HNHS behind Nick Johnson's 9:24.81 and Tim Hughes's 9:29.04.
Josh Graham got 4th in the 1600m in 4:25.32, but was third going into the homestretch and will likely get a call-back as his time is the 15th fastest in the state and they take 27. His time is #9 all-time behind Gary Brown's 4:24.34.

Seems like a really slow 1600m. The 4:18 is what the slowest in a long time. I heard it was hot but that doesn't make that much of a difference in the 1600. What happened? Splits?

It went out VERY slow. From my vantage point across from the finish line on the backstretch here were the leader's splits. 67, 67, 65, and then Shields brought it home in about 59. It was set up perfectly for him. Nobody was going to out kick him. The 3200 was definitly more exciting and the race of the night.
