HU recruit Joseph Herber attended the Huntington Open on the 2nd and I had a chance to talk to his mother. Herber and his family seem like a perfect fit for HU. His parents like to attend most of his meets, which has been a staple to HU success. And he seems to have the type of talent that maybe a little underdeveloped at the HS level but will excel at the collegiate level.
Hopefully Diehl can help him through the first part of the season until he gets comfortable with the pace and distance. I'm expecting HU to be a little down due to depth at the beinging of the year, but if they can stay focused on the end of the season I think they will really come on like gangbusters around conference time.
