My favorite workout I did was at All-star Running Camp. They do a continuous Indian Run that gets progressively faster for about 40 mins in a half mile loop. The rules were as long as you could stay with the group you kept going. I and Curtis ran with the top group. It was so great to do such a workout with some of the best runners in the state.
I also love anytime I can complete a Res. Loop.
What are your favorite workouts?

I would say either the 2-4-2 workout where we would do a 2 mile warmup, a 2 mile on the track at 90% of your pr. Then 4 hard 400's in spikes, another 2 mile on the track at 90% and then a 2 mile cooldown. Or the workout i just did the otherday at ISU we did a 2 mile warmup, 1.5 mile tempo (hard), then 4X1 mile on the track at 5:20-5:30 with 90 sec. rest in between each one. It was tough but it was also cool when i got done and looked back at what i just did.

Call me crazy but there is nothing like a good 1000 meter repeat workout. Not to short but yet not to long. Doesn't really matter how many, for some reason I always look forward to them the most. I especially like the new grass loop we do them on at Tri-State. It's got a little bit of everything.

My favorite workout was the one I started doing my senior year of college during indoor season... it was tough but I REALLY enjoyed it and I KNEW that I was in good shape too.
1. run a 10 minute warm-up (inside or outside) 2. stretch on my own and get stretched in the training room 3. 10 minute tempo (80-85% of max) 4. stretch again and do my speed drills 5. 12 x 200m (30 sec. reps w/ 60 sec. standing recovery... they were all either 28-30 on a 177m track) 6. 1 mile at 5:30-6:00 and stretch 7. 10 minute warm-down and stretch
I would do this workout once a week... during indoor season. I only raced once that indoor season in a "tactical" HC Frozen Forest... 2:03.2. I was boxed in for 1.5 laps before Matt Van Cleave helped me get to the outside and by then all I could do was "chase" the leaders.
