Hey everyone! The Cross-Country team at Huntington University thought it would be a good idea to try to help some of the children and teens who have been significantly affected by the political turmoil in Kenya. Thus, we came up with the following idea... I know how many shoes us runners keep around that have too many miles on them, and now is your chance to give them to a good cause. Please see the information below for all the details, and please feel free to spread the word! Shoes for the Sole What: A Huntington University Cross-Country team service project that seeks to obtain unwanted shoes and give them to Kenyan children and teens that are disadvantaged. How can you help: Pick up those old running shoes that have too many miles on them and call or e-mail us at our contact information listed below and we will come pick them up. If your team decides to participate, Please try to bring them all on the same day if possible, so we can make as few trips as possible. Contact Info: Phone/text #- (260) 341-1624 e-mail- shoesforthesole@live.com **Please use good judgment when donating the shoes. Please don’t supply shoes with large tears and/or holes. It is ok if the shoes no longer have insoles.** Thank you for any help with this project!!!!!

Are you taking shoes with 500 miles on them? Does anybody in Kenya actually wear size 13? Also how long are you guys doing this cause I have a few about to expire.

We'll take any size, and any mileage (as long as the shoes aren't completely torn apart). Most of these people don't even have socks, so any shoes are going to be better than no shoes.

Nerual, how long do we have to get our lightly used shoes to you. Not planning to come up to the 'ton for a few weeks. You know, I need to do some chores around the house, go to Home Depot, maybe got to Bed, Bath and Beyond...I don't know if we'll have time.

We will be collecting shoes all season long. If you can't give us your shoes until the season is over that's fine. Just let us know when to get them and we will make sure they get to the right place.
