Huntington North Boys' Track Team won the NCC title for the first time in school history, beating Marion 138-133.
Rob Sands won the 110HH, 300IH, long jump, and got 4th in the high jump to lead the Vikes and score more points than the entire New Castle team.
Josh Graham and Ross Ochs went 1-2 in the 1600 in 4:30 and 4:34, respectively.
The 4x800 team of Sean Lewis (2:06), Lucas Hanson (2:08), Sam Doughty (2:08), and Justin Glancy (2:11), went 8:33 for 2nd place.
Ross Ochs and Austin Roberts went 2-3 in the 3200 meters in 9:53 and 10:02, respectively. Ochs went out in 4:42 with fresh Logansport sophomore Kyle Overway, but Overway ran away from him in the second mile to go on to win in 9:37. Roberts passed and gapped Marion senior Michael Waymire with about 1400 meters to go to secure third place.
Josh Graham was third in the 800 (2:02) and Jake Crosley was 13th (2:10).
Rex Drabenstot and Ches McClure went 1-2 in the shotput, and McClure and Jordan Beaver went 2-4 in the discus.
The 4x400 team of David George (54), Doug Baker (53), Austin Shoemaker (52), and Dylan Gray (55) went 3:34 to secure the victory for Huntington North.
Coach Chambers won coach of the year.
