Mini-marathon sell-out looms More than 34,000 people have registered for the 2008 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. With about 1,000 slots to go, race officials expect a sell-out soon. So far runners and walkers from 50 states and 8 countries have registered for the race on May 3 in Downtown Indianapolis, officials said in a news release today. The Mini-Marathon early registration fee of $50 ends on Dec. 1, when the fee goes to $70. Registration is also available online at www.500festival.com.

30,000 Walkers, 4,000 Runners; ok maybe not that extreme, isnt this one of the biggest half marathons in the country, you would think that they would limit the number of walkers by making you turn in a time like you have to for Boston Marathon.
