Chris Brown, 23, state cross country finalist in 2000 from Bluffton HS, passed away Saturday morning, December 1, under hospice care in Bluffton.
As a junior, Brown earned all-area honors after placing eighth at sectional, 14th at regional, and 15th (16:02) at semistate in 2000. He closed out the season 46th in Bloomington at the finals with a time of 16:29. His teammate, Bret Grover, was eighth. As a senior, Brown placed 56th at semistate.
