1. Calvin
2. Tri-State
The Thunder need to be second in order to keep a little momentum for the regional rankings... if they can put some major distance between themselves and third it will be a bonus.
I will be pulling for Curt Daniels and Austen Davenport (MIB) to have a BIG one this weekend!

The meet will be held this year at Albion on a golf course, from what we have heard the course is super flat and pretty fast.
Calvin Comes into conference like they do every year about, ranked #1 in the nation and also having 6 potential All-Americans. We (Tri-State) are coming off an off week and will begin our push to qualify for nationals this weekend. We are currently ranked 9th in the region and have 5 potential All-Conference runners. Hope is coming off a good week of racing UW Oshkosh where they put 2 guys under 25 and 5 under 26:25. They were the 3rd place team at our Jamboree 15 pts behind us and 8 ahead of Albion, they have been without national qualifier from last year Seth Weiner the whole year due to Mono and we will see if he comes out for the big race this weekend. Albion is a strong team that has a strong runner upfront but lack a great 5 man, however the meet being at Albion will give them a boost.
Look for some shake-ups in the scoring with hopefully 2 Tri-State guys in the top 7 and 5 in the top 15. However each team runs as many as they want so look for 15 Calvin guys in the top 30.

Here is a link to results from the Jamboree - www.miaa.org/mcc/index.htmlThis was held on our golf course so times are pretty slow. Look for Curtis Daniels to finish First Team All-Conference while running with the Calvin All-Americans!

Speaking of the Jamboree. Do you guys like that or is it redundant (sp?)? I know you did away with the duals a year or 2 ago.

I don't mind the Jamboree. Our conference is pretty tough so it's always a good meet in the beginning of the season to see how we stack up against some of the better D3 teams. As far as dual meets go, I started running the second year that we were part of the conference(2004) and we have never had a cross-country dual meet. We do have dual/tri meets in track so maybe thats what you are thinking of.
